Full disclosure: I'm Asian, with Asian persuasion.I loved best lee's for a long time. Their sweet and sour fish is not only elegantly dressed, but the price is well worth the taste.Unfortunately, the food quality has deteriorated. Even their classic combo chow mein was worse than an American attempt at chow mein. The saddest part.. the ownership seems to have changed. There used to be a really friendly Chinese guy who greeted and cracked jokes. He used to tell my son that he's his Chinese uncle...When I went there years later, a bill collector had confronted the manager, and the manager (not the Chinese uncle) decided to argue with him in front of customers, including me.Hopefully things change back for this establishment. I have hope that they'll bring back the good Chinese food and hospitality.

I have eaten here a handful of times. Each time has left me hoping to come back and try yet another flavor. All the meals have been very good. This outing, I tried their lunch special Shrimp in Lobster sauce. It was served with Hot & Sour soup and fried rice. Lots of flavor, and the service was solid and welcoming. Maybe I have just been lucky compared to others in the service department.

I live close to Best Lee's and have ordered take-out from them a few times since they opened a few years ago. I didn't order very often, because their food was pretty run-of-the-mill; they've stepped it up since the last time I ordered. This evening I got the kung pao chicken w/ brown rice and a spring roll. Man, was it good! I think this was the best Chinese take-out I've ever tasted. The spring rolls were perfect, and not like the old generic egg rolls they had before. The kung pao and rice was hot, flavorful, and soooo tasty. I will definitely be ordering from Best Lee's a lot more in the future!

I was originally going to give this place 2 stars, based on the quality of my dish and the initial service, but by the end of the meal they had worked on me enough that I'll bump 'em up a star.To start with, when they initially took our order we ordered won-tons at the same time we ordered our main courses. Take note, the older lady doesn't speak much English. You have to point to the item you want on the menu. When our order arrived we noticed no won-tons. We asked about it and the woman (not the one who took the order) notified us that they take 45 minutes. That information would have been useful from the outset, but whatever. My shrimp were overcooked and not so good. My date's kung pow chicken was OK. Verdict: stick with stuff that'd be hard to mess up. Don't go fancy. The half chocolate dipped fortune cookies were tasty. So, 3 stars for you, Lee's.

Food: 2.5Service: 2Value: 1Since it's one of the closest restaurants to where we've recently moved, we decided to give Best Lee's a try for lunch. And boy were we disappointed.I ordered the fried rice, while the wife ordered the pan fried noodles. The pan fried noodles was decent, but the fried rice was soggy and inedible. I'm not sure how fried rice can be messed up, but somehow, they managed. Sadly, their fried rice was slightly worse than that from Panda Express. Yet they had no problem charging $8.95 for just the fried rice. The pan fried noodles were $11.95.My recommendation? Go somewhere else. A two-item combo place would've been a smarter choice.

First time here. I'd go back again and give them a second shot. The waitress/only person working the front end was a bit icy. I am not sure she cracked a smile the entire time we were there. The house special pan fried noodles were not bad, they weren't the best I've had either. The fried rice however was too wet and lacked anything resembling flavor. I am finding a trend here that "Chinese" restaurants are serving Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese food as well. I DONT GET IT. Focus on one thing and do it well, that's all I want. And when my husband asks for chopsticks and says "we would like chopsticks" and uses plural, the response shouldn't be "just one?" I get it, I'm white, he's Chinese. Kind of a pet peeve of mine :P

This is an amazing restaurant. ABQ Friends brought us here and said that a Chicago friend had said it had the best Chinese food he had ever had bar none. I had my doubts (it's in a tiny strip mall)until we had our dinner! We arranged to come back with a group on the Chinese New Year. It only seats 40 so try for a reservation . Chinese Uncle Mike is as great as the food. I even stop in for lunch when I'm in town. Chicago has some fabulous Chinese restaurants but this is right out of the New Yorker cover piece on the disappearing chef Peter Chang. Hope this chef doesn't disappear!

Best Lee's Chinese restaurant is THE best Chinese restaurant in Albuquerque, bar none. Every sauce at Best Lee's is exceptional, with depth and complexity that exceeds EVERY other Chinese restaurant in the city! ...?

Good location and delicious food have made this our favorite Chinese place in Albuquerque. The dishes are flavorful and more authentic than PF Changs (where the PF stands for Paul Fleming) and it is much less expensive. The only real gripes revolve around the furnishings. The table linens are covered with a slippery glass plate that slides around and the booth tables are pretty narrow. If you just do the lunch specials and drinks, you'll have plenty of room but if you order 4 dishes or so, expect to be cramped. They pass around those wieny, short, round, wood chopsticks that are pretty useless. We take our own from home.?

best food, fast freindly service. I have eaten at 100's of chineese restaurants all over the country, and I can say they have the best food anywhere, including NY, and CA. Mr. Lee takes pride in his place, cleans the booths himself to insure cleanleness. He takes time to personally greet everyone, and I eat there more then any other place no matter the couisene. Mr. Lee has earned the name of BEST LEES!
